All our short run, specialist decals* are printed using Aero Imageworks unique printing process that involves at least twenty individual steps in the preparation and printing of each decal sheet. Central to the process, is an Alps/Oki 'dry ink' type printer that is used in such a way as to produce solid, accurately matched colours like regular screen printed decals. However, unlike screen printed decals, we are also able to produce finely rendered '3-D' graphics that capture all the subtle shades of the original. By using very thin, clear, carrier film, the decal will upon application to a properly prepared surface blend into the models paintwork for that 'painted on' look.
